Stimulating Sunday Stats for weeks 30, 34, 35, 37, 38 and 39

The stats for the last few months have seen e-commerce accelerate by 4 to 6 years…*

“We typically don’t expect to see surges at this level, at any time outside of the holiday season.” – says Vivek Pandya, Adobe’s Digital Insights Manager.

There is no denying the fact that this industry is not just booming but utterly soaring.

All great news amongst such a plethora of bad.

Capacity in this industry is feeling the pressure across the board.

Courier networks and fulfilment houses of every size – Amazon included – are having to operate a queuing system for bringing on-board new customers such is the astonishingly astronomical demand.

In addition to this time is running out!

Companies operating in this industry typically won’t bring on any new customers in Q4, the last quarter of each year, as the volumes in orders spike so immensely during this time it would be commercial suicide to take on new business in the run up to the end of year peak.

So, what does that mean?

It means, if you haven’t found your ideal fulfilment partner yet, or set up courier accounts and found the right staff if you do want to brave it alone, you have about 10 weeks before it will be nigh on impossible until 2021.

So, don’t dilly dally!

I have had a few panicked phone calls from people who have stock arriving and nowhere to receive it and send it out from.

Here at OFEX we have an operations planning schedule to ensure we only bring in one new customer per week. This allows us to concentrate all our efforts on welcoming our new customer, making sure each step of the process is as smooth as possible and allows time for us to arrange their stock and for the whole OFEX team to familiarise themselves with our new customers products and procedures.

We still have some weeks left for prospective customers who may want to to come onboard this year. They are weeks: 30, 34, 35, 37, 38 and 39. Or, if you prefer, weeks commencing 20th July, 17th & 24th August, 7th, 14th & 21st September 2020.

So if you would like to jump on a Zoom call with me so I can give you a virtual tour of the warehouse and meet the team, please drop me an email and I’d be more than happy to oblige 🙂

Keep safe and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sam.
