Last year the holiday season was predictable.
Everyone here at OFEX booked their holidays to make sure they coincided with school breaks and our quieter months of activity.
Needless to say this year hasn’t quite been the same.
Obviously we’ve accommodated everyones’ long-awaited holidays and with two new recruits up and running here at OFEX, namely Richard and Lindsay, we thought it would be a gentle introduction to their new jobs.
That couldn’t be further from the truth!
This July saw a 152.96% increase in activity just in terms of orders going out the door compared to last year and in addition to this we have welcomed many new customers who have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of their stock.
A young man, Joe, has been helping us out this summer before going back to university, when he finally packs his bags for Uni in September. We will miss him.
Our Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, has made it an easy decision for us to help young people into work with his apprenticeship scheme, we now know the huge value young members of the team can bring.
It has been fascinating to learn how different ages within our team bring each their own contribution and energy.
